BARREL GAME

Barrel Game was a way to practice my coding skills and is still in development. With this project, I explored using the Surge package (click on the "candies" to make them explode smoothly), making joysticks from scratch, hinge joints, physics, and scoring. Contains: Gitlab folder, .exe build, and video.

GAME OF LIFE

As part of a project, I decided to recreate Conway's Game of Life from scratch using Unity Engine, a canvas panel, and toggles. After successfully completing this, I decided to take it further by creating a "Fungus" level where the rules are slightly adjusted. A first generation living cell will be green, followed by orange, and finally its third iteration will be red. In the fourth iteration, all surrounding dead neighbours of a dying red cell will become alive (green) and start living their life cycle out. If This creates an ever-growing "fungus" of living cells on the board. This was alot of fun to make! Contains: Gitlab folder, .exe build, and video.

AR DEPTH MASK

Made using Vuforia in Unity

I made a Sierpinski fractal in Blender, and then took each procedurally-generated triangle and divided them into sections with 4 different materials. Then, I animated those sections in different ways using coding and Tweening. After that I tested out using a VR occlusion material to create a depth-effect on a regular blender cube. I put my Sierpinski triangle in it, created an image target using the Vuforia package, and tested it using my webcam.

CALLING ME

Please click "View More" to watch video in HD on YouTube with music! This is a video showcasing me in various locations through-out a 7-month backpacking trip. The timing and placement of the shots are not linear to maintain interest and intrigue. In the beginning of the trip I knew I wanted to make a video at the end, but I didn't know exactly how I was going to connect all the clips together. I started creating short clips of me spinning in areas I thought were particularly amazing in an attempt to capture the feeling of really being there in that moment. My aim was to create a video with a common thread and a sense of dynamic movement to instil a feeling of adventure in whoever saw it.
